Today turned off the possibility of registration at Polishwords. On this occasion I would like to summarize some presence of video tutorials section on the site.

Polishwords exists since February 2007, so soon face 3 years. During this time the site went through various metamorphoses, was the blog of which you are reading now, several projects around-programming and video tutorials section. This department was originally a programming concern. The first video tutorial presented how to write a Hello World application in 3 minutes and was added on the first anniversary Polishwords.

The second anniversary was also an occasion to celebrate, because it was then registered 1000 users. A large number of services such as video tutorials on programming in C #. Besides, so far it is the only such course, and this video in Polish.

In November 2008 appeared on the first video tutorials on office suite Open Office - again - for the first time in a Polish-language networks, in January 2009 came the initiative to promote startup.

This increased the number of users who reached the 2600 and the present day audience close to 100 000. As the first video tutorial wielotematyczny computer is a big number, but not stunning.

Rejestracja wyłączona

Sometimes it was good, and sometimes not. It happened that the service was not available for 2 days, when my computer broke down, or hosting provider for six months gave no sign of life. But I do not regret that, through these stories because I had the chance to meet wonderful people who helped me in these moments.

More interesting will find the blog in the category Polishwords and post Polishwords history.

At that time the world has changed too, arose from other online video tutorials. Some odds makers have understood that long, boring and monotonous films are not interesting to anyone. And such films when I started, were attached to every other newspaper, and I am convinced that no one watched.

Lessons from this period are many and certainly in one post I have not exhausted. For me it was a fascinating project. He gave me much satisfaction. May displace the memory of those negative memories, but I do not remember that I once delivered some nerves.

If there is anything I regret from that time it may the fact that I did not have much time to record more video tutorials. It is a dilemma which has always accompanied me - whether as a programmer to concentrate on recording video tutorials for various aspects of programming that can use skills to create something with a greater range. After much consideration I chose the latter path. The way in which the milestone is closed today Polishwords registration.

Samolot

The whole adventure Polishwords (not only reported on this blog) has learned a lot about people and reality. And the most convinced me that the world which is more varied and complex is better than any attempt at simplification. In diversity there is beauty hidden.

Persons wishing to watch the video tutorials and had not managed to not let worry - they will be more accessible on the network. But more about that soon. If you want to be up to date subscribe to your blog or add me to friends at some mikroblogu spelled out right at the top. Also an invitation to sign up for fans on Facebook.
